Employment Law


Employment law is a fast-growing and changing area for employers and employees. Our attorneys have litigated and defended claims of wrongful termination, discrimination and harassment in the federal and state courts and before the Ohio Civil Rights Commission, U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, U.S. Department of Labor and Wage and Hour Division. To hopefully avoid litigation against our clients we work with many employers on their employee manuals and company policies and procedures as well as employment agreements for a variety of positions. Non-competition agreements are another specialty, whether in negotiating and drafting appropriate contracts or provisions for our clients, pursuing our clients’ rights to enforce such an agreement against a former employee or defending against over-reaching provisions. Employment law also involves confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements or policies to protect and preserve our clients’ confidential, proprietary information and trade secrets.
